Starting the Adoption Process
If you are interested in possibly adopting one of GGRLC's Goldens, please complete the adoption application and send it back to GGRLC. Due to the large amount of calls and emails we receive regarding adopting we must have an application before we will be able to speak with you about the Goldens. The form can be downloaded to your computer from where it can be opened, filled out and saved as a Word document. There is also a link if you prefer to print a PDF file. This document can then be e-mailed (preferred method) as an attachment to firstname.lastname@example.org. Or you can simply click on the link and print the form from your web browser, fill it out by hand and snail mail it to GGRLC c/o Adoptions, PO Box 2799, Myrtle Beach, SC 29578. Once we receive this back, one of GGRLC's volunteers will contact you to make arrangements for a phone interview, vet check and home visit. If you are out of our area, we will try to arrange a home visit with a volunteer in your area. You must be wiling to drive to meet the Golden. We do not ship dogs.
All our Goldens are medically treated for any known conditions if health allows. We provide all medical information known at the time of adoption. Our Vets are available to answer questions when needed. The adoption fee is $250.00 with special consideration for special need Goldens. This fee helps to recover some of the costs we have incurred in bringing our Goldens to optimal health. Heartworm treatment alone costs $550 or more to treat.
We ask that you please be patient. Most of our volunteers work full-time and it can take us sometime to get back to you. An adoption of a Golden is a life long commitment. The time needed to find the right Golden for your family is well worth the wait. It is an investment that will enrich your life endlessly.
Clicking on this link will open another window from which the adoption application can be viewed and/or downloaded to your computer.
