Approved Fosters

Before taking on a foster dog, all new foster homes must take the Maddie’s Fund “Foster Caregiver Training – Dogs” course required by our insurance carrier.  This course provides a wealth of information that you will find very helpful in caring for your new foster dog. Please follow the steps below:

Step 1: Please register for an account by clicking this link: Maddie's Fund

Step 2: Click this link to go to the training site, Shelter and Rescue Training - Canine​. Click "Enroll", sign into your account, and add training site to your cart. Click your cart and the training class will be added and you will be enrolled. There is no fee for the training. ​​After the courses are completed, you will receive two certificates that you will need to provide to us. Please be sure to retain copies of these certificates in your files.

Step 3: Confirm to GGR by emailing to info@ggrlc.org when you have completed the courses. Attach copies of your certificates.

Step 4: Please complete and sign the Volunteer Liability Release Form. It can be downloaded, and printed out by clicking on the button below. Scan your completed form to info@ggrlc.org or mail to GGR, PO Box 2799, Myrtle Beach, SC 29578.

Step 5:  Once your Liability Form and certificates are received by GGR, we will email a Foster e-Contract for to you to initial, sign, and submit.

Step 6: Download and save the Grateful Goldens Rescue Foster Manual on your computer. It will provide you, as an approved foster, with valuable information.
